Before proceeding, please remember,
Life is an Adventure!
Okay, taking the bus in a foreign country is never simple. Particularly if you don’t speak the language, can’t easily ask others for help, and don’t have a magnifying glass to clearly see the government-provided bus route map.
But, what the heck, give it a try. Enjoy the experience. And discover the real Saigon … away from tourist central.
And don’t worry, if you bring your hotel address card with you, you’ll likely never be more than a 40,000 vnd ($2 USD) taxi ride back to your room 🙂
REMEMBER, the city buses are all NON-SMOKING buses (except of course for the bus drivers!)
One small note – because of one-way streets and such considerations, sometimes the bus route is a block or two different in one direction from the other (look closely at the map and the bus stop signs on the street.
