Once in awhile Hai and I get feedback from our readers that confirms we’re doing something right here at Eating Saigon!

In this case, Nia and her friends from Indonesia shared their thoughts about their recent home-cooked Saigon dinner with our family hosts, Hà and Hà.  Seems they had yet another wonderful Eat With a Local Saigon Family experience. We thought you might enjoy reading their recent note to our host family … we certainly were very happy to see it!

Dear Mr. Ha and Mrs. Ha and also to all the lovely ladies,

Thank you very much for having us.

To be honest, the trip to your place was a bit difficult –  but in the end it didn’t really matter. Your kindness and hospitality really made us want to visit Saigon again.

We truly enjoyed all the food and your company 🙂 Our favourites were the kedondong salad, chicken wings, tomato soup and the yoghurt. The soup was very, very, very delicious! And the yoghurt was the best homemade yoghurt we’ve ever tasted!

We are now back in Jakarta and sharing our wonderful experiences in Saigon 🙂

We wish Mr. Ha the best of luck for his PhD study in Singapore and Malaysia and hopefully we will see each other again in the future.
