That would be the Southeast Asia Sea (as Vietnamese prefer to call it) or the South China Sea (as the Chinese Government would insist). And that table would be Hai and my dinner table this week at Nhà Bè A Tư restaurant in the tiny seafront village of Nhơn Hải.
Half the fun was getting there … 17 kilometers from downtown Quy Nhơn over Cầu Thị Nại (the Thị Nại Bridge)…
… and down the sand swept Nhơn Hải Peninsula. A gorgeous, exhilarating 30 minute journey!
… And then arriving and discovering the quaint isolated seafront village of Nhơn Hải.
… and “the best local seafood dinner” as recommended by a local fisherman. We weren’t very hungry, so we decided on just a few local “sea snacks”
BBQ’s clams crusted with crispy shallots, garlic & fresh herbs.
The freshest, most tender & flavorful baby squid ever!
And an assortment of snails that I didn’t even know existed on planet Earth … and certainly had never consumed before!
An amazing day trip from downtown Qui Nhơn to Nhơn Hải, with a very happy ~ delicious ending at Nhà Bè A Tư.
